The following description in README.md might causes ambiguous parsing during cmake code building:

cmake -DLWS_WITHOUT_TESTAPPS=ON -DLWS_WITHOUT_TEST_SERVER=ON-DLWS_WITHOUT_TEST_SERVER_EXTPOLL=ON.

split -D from SERVER=ON
